STATEMENT ON ROUND 17
Okay, so let me explain to you what exactly happened today.
I am normally able to use my laptop during my biology class, as the professor lectures from far away, and doesn't care. However, a few minutes after I posted the challenge, he decided to do an interactive exercise, which had him walking around the classroom, and so I couldn't use my laptop to check ATRL and the progress of the challenge. When I was able to log back in, I was shocked to see everyone grabbing spoons, and 4 completed mazes in my inbox. As has been stated at the bottom of the every single challenge post since the first challenge of the first season, you MUST get my permission through a wall post or private message, in order to post the first spoon. You can not just assume because you completed the challenge, that you were the first to do so, and that you won. In fact, here were the results of the challenge:
1. borntodie - 11:17 AM
2. rl231 - 11:25 AM
3. FunkyDinevo - 11:30 AM
4. Qatari Monster - 11:31 AM
So, in fact, Qatari was actually the fourth person to complete the challenge. borntodie was the winner of the challenge, and should have been the only person grabbing the first spoon -- but only after I told her that she was the winner.
I am definitely shocked that this mess happened seventeen rounds into the game, because by now, I thought all of you would understand how the process works. Regardless, it's in the past, so now let's look to the future.
No one will be eliminated today. Everyone lives until tomorrow, where 1 will go home.
Tomorrow. Tomorrow, I should be able to post the round in the afternoon -- some time between 2 PM EST and 5 PM EST. I will get a more specific time to you soon. Here's what will happen: borntodie will be immune tomorrow. She doesn't have to compete in the challenge, unless she wants to. She can not be eliminated tomorrow. Qatari Monster, I will take pity on you for being excited about the challenge. However, for causing this, you do need to have a punishment. You will not be allowed to compete in tomorrow's challenge, and will have to wait until only two spoons remain to grab one. I could have automatically disqualified you, so this is a kind punishment, I suppose.
Thank you all for understanding, and I am sorry for the confusion of this morning. Stay tuned for the official challenge time tomorrow.
