religion is fading from culture and in 100 years will be nearly gone from european culture. It will take a little longer for the US to come around tho

This is a fact. Places that are less socially and/or economically developed then to be more secular, it's rare that you find somewhere that's developed and extremely "religious".

Religion is good for establishing hope and "sustaining" peace until some sickos come along and misinterpret the text. Religion is also used for oppression. People who are "affluent" tend to promote religion more than anything else as a means to subdue resistance. Consequently, a lot of people become content because of religion, they tell themselves that "this is what God wants them to do." Lies, God doesn't want you to be poor or basic. God wants you to be amazing.

It is naive to think religion is the sole reason for conflicts. Even if it goes away there will still be conflicts and homophobia.

We cling to centuries old conflicts and say look see? religion caused this. Humans will always have something to fight about.

I'm not religious at all, but some people will always need to believe in something.

Im not saying ALL conflicts come from the religion.
but a lot of **** we did in our past, was religions fault!

Agreed, but humans can be naturally cruel to each other so with that in mind problems wont go away too easily. It's gonna take so much more than religion to make people do better for the greater good.
