#20.
Secondhand Serenade "Fall For You"
- Yes, you're not yet blind lol. I have taste for rock ballads. This song is my favorite song coming from this band. The lyrics tries to depict a man falling in love with "The One". What I really loved most about this song is how the lyrics in the chorus blends well with the beat. It's almost as if I can feel my emotions through the song when the chorus begins. The guitar and drums start to catch the beat and make it more alive making this song more emotional.
"...Because a girl like you is impossible to find... you’re impossible to find ..."
#19.
Britney Spears "Break The Ice"
- One of the best tracks from Blackout. Eventhough the song has a disappointing video, this single makes it to Number 19 of my favorite singles of 2008. Danceable track, unique beat and catchy tunes are the things I love most in this track. The song is edgy in the sense that it tries to say that the woman is the one motivating the man to make a move. This is Britney's first appearance in my Best of 2008. Expect more from her
"...Let me break the ice... allow me to get you right..."
#18.
Christina Aguilera "Keeps Gettin' Better"
- Making its way to Number 18 of my countdown is the recent comeback single of Christina Aguilera. This song may not be as strong as her previous singles but enough to make it to my list. I will have to say that the track is too short to be absorbed well enough by its listener but its risky lyrics make up for it. Overall, it's decent enough and in some way addiciting to listen to and doesn't get old too quick either.
"...Some days I'm a super b*tch... up to my old tricks but it won't last forever..."
#17.
Matt Pokora f/ Timbaland and Sebastian "Dangerous"
- When I heard this artist's name, I was like "Matt who?". Only to find out his collabo with Timbaland and "The Way I Are" co-aritist Sebastian made this song a masterpiece. By now, you should've noticed that I'm a dance track lover by most  Love the dance beat from the very start up to the end. Everytime this track gets played, it makes me just want to dance along to it. Very addicting track indeed.
"...She's got the passion that girl is dangerous... better be careful that girl is dangerous..."

#16.
Rihanna "Rehab"
- I always thought she should've released Breakin' Dishes as her last single of GGGB but after seeing the video, I think this will be the perfect single to close GGGB. The shades of lightings such as violet, green and red are luminous to the eyes. Another thing special about the video is the appearance of Justin Timberlake, making the video more interesting to watch. Who would've thought loving someone can be compared to drug addiction. Truly, when you're love swept, You'll do anything for the one you love. One of the best ballads in GGGB
"...But now that I know, it's not meant to be... You gotta go, I gotta win myself off of you ..."
#15.
Jordin Sparks f/ Chris Brown "No Air"
- Wow !! Never thought she would collaborate with Chris Brown in this song. Their duet made this single more powerful. Eventhough it failed to top the Billboard Hot 100 charts, it successfully made its way to #15 of my favorite singles of 2008. The simplicity of the video fits the song well. Comparing losing the one you love as losing breath is a good metaphor. Great single choice, great lyrics and great vocals
"...'Cause my world revolves around you... It's so hard for me to breathe..."
#14.
The Ting Tings "That's Not My Name"
- Making its way to Number 14 of my countdown is a band of two. That's right, The Ting Tings enters my top 20 with "That's Not My Name". This song has many versions of music videos; they may all be simple but that's what makes it a perfect video for the song. This single is a perfect live performance song. Catchy beat, easy to memorize lyrics, and the name mentions really makes this a fun track. I mean how rude is it for someone to forget your name especially if its only a four letter word
"...Although I'm dressed up, out and all with... Everything considered they forget my name..."
