Saying "homosexuals = pedophiles" is VERY, VERY different to what those people are saying. They're saying pedophiles might not be able to control their attraction to children in the same way that we all can't control our attractions to men and/or women, not that homosexuality is the same thing as pedophilia.

However, there is a key difference between pedophiles and straight/gay people in that those people often look over. Children can't consent to sex, whilst adults can. So any adults having sex with each other, with consent, is fine, whilst having sex with a child is wrong for many reasons (illegal, could ruin the child's life, etc.).

The ignorance. Not all pedophiles rape children, actually most of them have never had sex with children. Saying pedophiles rape children is like saying every homosexual is HIV-positive.

pedophilia means you're sexually attracted to kids. this is not normal because these urges if acted upon will hurt children since they're not old enough to give consent. kids should not be sexually harassed or raped. there will never be consent since they're not old enough, and thus, pedophilia will never be "okay"
