FYI everyone, he was homeless because he wanted to, his mother was interiewed days after the VMAs and she was talking about how he decided to leave their house. He could have gone back home whenever he wanted but instead he decided to shoplift and commit other minor crimes, Miley must have been aware of his situation unless he didn't tell her that the law was onto him.

The first time after the VMAs when he turned himself in she bailed him out. Then she had to leave to go back on tour and during that time it was reported he almost missed court again. This 6 months is more than likely a result of him fleeing his probabtion and almost missing court

There was no bail for him posted and if there was obviously it wouldn't do a thing because he's in jail for six months.
