It's really difficult to test for Ebola in its early stages because the symptoms are pretty generic (fever, muscle pain)- so while the dog is still waiting to get tested/diagnosed it's gonna be drooling/licking/playing with people, which is way more of a risk than needs to be taken as it's a really quick way of spreading bodily fluids.
This is terrifying though- there's a ridiculous amount of UK-Spain, UK-Nigeria, UK-Commonwealth Africa in general flights. It's only a matter of time before it gets to my doorstep.
