Euro Disney SCA, the company which operates Disneyland Paris, has been forced to beg the Walt Disney Company for a debt bailout of almost 1 billion euros.
Since opening in 1992, the resort has never made a profit, and is now in so much debt that it cannot afford to maintain the parks well, and litter has begun to gather on the streets.
If the bailout isn't granted, then the resort may be forced to close. This is despite the fact that it welcomes more visitors each year than the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre combined (although attendance has been falling).
It just goes to show how elusive success in the theme park industry is, because of how damn expensive they cost to build.
Hope it doesn't, I went there 4 years ago and it was so much fun. One of my dreams is to go there again with a group of friend and enjoy the crap out of it. Such a good experience, for everyone
lmao, it's fake... they are already presenting plans to expand and bring new themes into the parks, they are not closing, the only thing that could happen is that the Walt Disney Company from the US will take over the park, cuz letting this go bankrupt would cause more damage to the brand than they'd need to invest
Disney will grant them the money. Closing DLP would be a PR nightmare and they just finished investing money in the park to help build a huge new attraction. If nothing else, Walt Disney Company will completely take over the park, shut it down for a small period of time for refurbishments and then re-open with new management. DLP brings in far too many customers (loyal and casual) to completely give up on it. Disney needs to be represented in Europe.
Some tourists know nothing about France come for one week to Paris and spend 2/3 days at Disneyland
Take those three days and spend them knowing more about Paris/France at least you'll sleep less stupid than you woke up.

Also it would immediately destroy ten thousands of jobs in and mostly all around the park that live off the guests visiting it. The state of France too will do what they can to keep it running.

So you just repeated what I said and contradicted yourself in one post? of course them closing is fake, it's not happening in the near future
