God, you're still on and on about European colonization. African countries have been independent for 40-50-60 years now. You can't still blame Europeans.

And like mentioned before. Africa has an issue of ongoing violence, brain drain and badly drawn borders. The real question is, can they manage their money wiser. Because Nigeria is full of oil but can't use that money wisely.

Okay. Switzerland, like many of those other European countries that didn't have big colonies are wealthy because they have and had everything Africa did not have. Norway was never enslaved, they were not stripped of their religion and values and forced to emulate the values of their overlord. Norway was for much of its history under Denmark and Sweden ( and they did have colonies in the Americas but you insist they didn't). But because they have a highly educated population it isn't hard to stay and build wealth. Same wih Switzerland who built its economy as a banking state and neutrality. The Swiss are highly industrialized and educated.

Now South America. They are wealthy, but are the people wealthy? No. South America for much of its history including all of Latin America were in heavy turmoil and many still are. They were "puppet states" of the U.S., and are now industrializing. But most of that is Brazil. However if we look at another country, Haiti. The poorest in all the Western Hemisphere, all we have to do is look at its history. It was not allowed to trade with any country, because the European powers didn't want a slave state becoming wealthy. Then they were "puppet-ed" by the U.S. for the last part of its history.

Korea is wealthy because they weren't even colonzed by Europeans, they were allowed to keep their culture and identity including their religion. They are also wealthy because they are industrialized.
