There could have been a Spicey reunion on this weekend’s X Factor... but sadly it wasn’t to be.
All the Spice Girls were invited to help Mel B choose her final three contestants in Mexico ahead of the live shows.
But sadly only three out of four were keen.
Victoria Beckham, 40, had a lot on her plate, what with a new shop opening in London, and the small task of becoming a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN – so she was a straight up no.
Producers then vetoed the idea of having Emma Bunton, 38, Geri Halliwell, 42, and Mel C, 40, reunite without Posh.
Our source tells us: “ Once Victoria had politely declined, there was no way the rest of the Spices were going to be flown out there.
“It would have been a great coup for them to all do it together, but without Posh, it was thought that the reunion might look a little weak.
“Emma was obviously keen, as was Geri, who has history with the show having been a guest judge and even in the running for the last seat on the panel.
“But there was a strict ‘all or just one’ policy put in place by producers.”
Emma is doing very well for herself. Her solo albums were moderate successes and she's a known radio host.
Victoria had a lot on her plate so it's not like she didn't say no because she didn't want to.
But to be honest she always has this "over it" look on her face so who knows what she's thinking lol.
Queen VB has moved on and rightly so. She still respectful of what she's achieved with the other girls. They should just leave her alone and stop trying to reunite the girls.
Easy V has her brand now and has just opened her first store in London. She really doesn't need this kinda exposure.
I never realized she was such a name on her own until my mom was reading something about her and was like "Wait! Victoria Beckham is Posh Spice? I never knew that!" I was like Mom
I have to say although Victoria is bigger than the other's she's not the only one who did well for herself, like some of y'all mentioned Emma is an established radio DJ, Mel B is a regular talent show judge on many shows across the world and Mel C is still releasing some solo music and has a small following.
