Why a Secessionist Movement Is Growing in California?
Is because California is the richest state in US, and the 6th world's largest economy itself, making californians have a superiority complex compared to the rest of the contry?
Really the U.S. is helpful for them. Maybe if they took the whole West coast with them they'll have a chance to survive on it own.
I'm a brazilian and live in the state of São Paulo (the richest in the country), and mostly paulistas are very nacionalist, xenophobic, elitist and separatist. California seems to be the US' equivalent, maybe the GDP is somehow related to it?
Alan, a billionaire wanted to break California up into six pieces so the rich guys could benefit and so Republicans can win again because California is a blue state.

One of the separatist movements I read about wants the whole state declared an indepedent republic from the union and breaked up into six states. http://www.phrelin.com/3Cals/Separatism/html/

Is it true that a lot of californians are separatists?
The six states idea wouldn't have survived the ballot. We're not Texas who dreams of breaking off from the US
I heard from one of my murrican friends that a separatist movement is growing there, I'm not surprised about Texas tho, bunch of retarded conservative rednecks.
It could only secede if it gets Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona to go with it and form a socially liberal and fiscally conservative nation.
