Tom Jones is way more dynamic and fun. But Tom isn't jazz. He's more of a pop guy I guess.
I can see why Tony Bennett is respected. I'm not big on jazz myself but it is the hardest genre to be a vocalist in and singing standards is harder than it looks. Tony Bennett, in his day, was always in the shadow of Frank Sinatra so it's nice he seems to finally get credit now that Frank's dead
