An animal rights campaign group argues that self aware animals like chimpanzees should not be imprisoned as it violates their human rights. What do you think?
Chimps should be given the same rights as humans if a New York court rules in the favour of a banana eating plaintiff.
The case concludes a lengthy battle by animal rights campaigners who argue that animals with human qualities should be given human rights.
So they're still arguing over legalizing recreational weed here but they're gonna give ****ing monkeys human rights? Dead, at least maybe there will be a new minority for the NYPD to go after
Well I don't think any animal should be 'imprisoned' so I can agree with that but I don't see why it has to be labeled human rights. The right to freedom should be available for any living sentient thing.
They aren't human, so they shouldn't be getting human rights.
They're chimpanzees, they're animals. So they should be getting animal rights.
This doesn't even make sense. You can bring in evolution into play, but they still aren't human.
