gender equality has been a theme in her music since the late 90s
and the idea of her using it as a "tool to promote" is ludicrous,
considering we live in a world where female celebrities are afraid to have the label feminist attached to them because they either don't understand it or think it makes them look too radical
like I said in the other thread, just because you see internet activism bringing more awareness to the third wave doesn't mean it's all of a sudden ~trendy and ~kewl to be a feminist
there's still a large amount of people who tense up at the mere mention of the word
