inspired by the concert thread since I would never go to a concert alone but don't have any issue going to the movies by myself.

Yes. It feels weird for some reason although really it isn't that bad because you're in the dark so it's not like people can see you sitting alone or anything. I still feel super self conscious though as if people are talking about me sitting by myself

I wouldn't care. But I would honestly just watch it at home if someone isn't forcing me to go to the theater.

If there was something I really wanted to see and I couldn't find anyone to go with me than absolutely. I would sit at the back where no one can see me though so that nobody would judge me for being alone

Yes and I prefer it, you get to focus on the movie.

With friends we end up buying more snacks to pool together. Not to mention we end up getting crappier seats since we all have to sit together.

yes. I have and will want to. I went to see TFIOS alone and I survived the most awkward thing being a male and surrounded by a packed cinema filled with crying females. I don't think it can get worse than that.

But you can really enjoy the plot and focus on what happens. Unfortunately, My friends always distract me and I end up missing parts. But if anyone ever feels self conscious, just try to avoid the popular timings and go when there's lesser people
