Because they want performers to pay to perform. They need to ask one of my faves to perform! They could use the promo!

Because they are making the performers pay. A rich artist who hasn't had mainstream success as of late should try it, like Christina Aguilera.

Why are they suddenly asking them to pay? Why didn't they ask past performers... MJ, Madonna, Bey etc?

Because no one should have to pay for a spot to perform. I'm glad Katy stood her ground and refused to pay.

Christina had one of the biggest singles last year in 'Say Something'?
Furthermore she has a fresh newborn to take care of and nothing to promote.

Making the performers pay is dumb. I hope they can't find anyone and have to reverse their stance.

They aren't having a hard time doing anything.
They probably already booked someone and have yet to announce.
