Huh? This isn't even arguable. Her only album that can be considered pop is I Am... Sasha Fierce and even that has tracks like Diva, Video Phone, Ego etc that are more urban than anything by Rihanna.
Why is Yellow Flicker Beat flopping so hard? Seems like she will remain a one hit wonder tbh.
It's doing as well as Once Upon A Dream, and Lana released one of the best albums of all time shortly after. We can only hope Lorde will follow the same path.
maybe Ego - though terrible - IS more truly R&B than anything Rih has ever done. a lot of the time, when Rihanna does urban it's so overstated, like "THIS MUSIC IS URBAN GUYS!" (point in case: Mess off the runway)
