When her mom and aunt insisted on paying for her gastric bypass surgery in 2011, Jen Corn knew she needed help. Corn was 5 feet, 6 inches and 300 pounds at the time.

A visit to the doctor for an unrelated concern was the tipping point though. She saw the words "morbidly obese" and panicked. She began walking slowly on her treadmill with the idea of achieving smaller goals, instead of larger, long-term ones, in mind. "It was kind of like a snowball effect," says Corn. "I was losing more weight, which caused me to exercise more."

This past March, Corn hit her goal weight of 163 pounds. She walks five miles a day and is training for a half-marathon in March.

I mean surely if you looked like this: You would just know you were morbidly obese anyway. Reverse anorexia/denial teas.

Exercise sistrens, is walking actually good cardio? I'd much rather do higher intensity programs, or run, but my friends asked me to go walking Monday and I said no. I feel like that's what school mom's do to gossip, like it's not 100% commitment, but after seeing this I'm not sure
