This is really the perfect song for Lorde's live performance style (better suited than the minimalism of PH). I feel her sound is going to move into this direction.

Tennis Court's failure is the biggest injustice of the year.

But I'm not afraid for her. She has her own unique style, which Carly Rae Jepsen couldn't say. She may never be as successful in the future as she was with Royals, but she won't fade away. I mean, I really hope so.
