this is my reaction most of the time when people dont say thank you, please, complain to you and blame you for something that isn't your fault etc...

that's my reaction because customers are always right.

I'm saccharine to their face and then bitch about them once they're gone.

people who dont say a word until they think the price is wrong are the worst

It depends on my mood really. I work in teleservices in the casino world, so I get rude and demanding customers all the time. I'm considered one of the best customer service workers in my department, but there are always a customer that causes me to put them in their place or straight hang up on them. In most cases, I just let them vent and try to assist them the best way I can to get them off my line. I know that it's not usually directed at me and that they don't know me. But yeah, some customers just like to dictate things because they are of a certain level, and that I do not tolerate.

One time a lady was complaining about how I was bagging her order so I told her their were bags on the next register and that she could do it herself

Sir, please don't tell at me.
Because when people yell at me I have the tendency to start crying.

when u provisionally ask them how their day has been and they say 'terrible'



my mum says she used to say this when dealing with rude customers ptho:

her: my pleasure
customer: what?
her: oh sorry, i thought you said 'thank you'

I work at Starbucks, and since I hate people, I find it rude of them to even come in and order a drink in the first place. One or two at a time, I can deal with, but if we start to have a never-ending line, I go slower and slower and start to do things like wipe the counter or do a dish in between making drinks. It hasn't happened yet, but if anyone were to be rude to me before having their drink made, I would make it wrong. Switch decaf for regular espresso or vice versa, put the wrong flavor in, forget their extra shot if they got any, etc. And if anyone was rude to me after getting their drink, I would tell them to go find another Starbucks to patronize.

Ignore them most of the time and then talk **** about them with coworkers in the back.

I stoically tell them have a good day and help the next person. The people who act like they have all the power in the world just 'cause they're a customer is the most obnoxious thing ever.
It's really, really hard to keep a straight face when someone's being a complete *** but it's the best thing to do. If you ignore them and smile and tell them have a good day they'll be confused and lose the power they think they have.

Easier said than done though.

ffs the prices an example I had recently was a man who bought something for £7.50 which it was CLEARLY marketed as on the shop floor. however he had the audacity to say 'actually, it says £7 on the floor', at which point I respond with 'do you want me to go check for you' (which subtextually translates to 'bitch I've worked here for 6 months I know damn WELL what the pricing is and even still do you REALLY want to argue over 50p [so many people do this too uggghhh ]), to which he responded 'no, it doesn't matter, but it does say £7' in a really passive aggressive way, at which point I wanted to slap him because customers won't hear it any other way than that they're correct

I hate how they think they're so clever when they're in a position wherein you literally cannot retaliate and clock them with receipts. like retail's really opened my eyes to how annoying customers can be. i think some people are just naturally rude and I tend to blame it on them being southerners
