Woah I just ate at that place a month ago.

She's not acting. As far as I know, she was taking her medication and living with her parents under the conservatorship. What went wrong is apparently the family doesn't believe it's actually schizophrenia when it is. You can't just let them go or stop taking your medication. It's also a very up and down disease. They can be completely normal one minute and then acting bizarre the next--which is why some people will say she's totally normal and very nice and then other stories are totally contradictory.

I just hope she gets help. I really thought that she was going to get better. I knew it would never go away but it seemed like everything was going to be okay. I know someone who committed suicide and he had schizophrenia and I'm very afraid something like that could happen to Amanda.

this may be TMI but my when my aunt was going schizophrenic she acted the exact same way. especially with the makeup. now she lives in an assisted living home and I think Amanda may need to as well.

Oh my god Amanda. Get help please.

This is like a TV show in itself... poor Amanda she has NO idea. I'm always afraid this'll happen to me one day and I'll have no idea it's happening.

she needs inpatient treatment. I'm not here for another breakdown from her, she has the resources to get help but she's gotta want it for herself

This is so sad. And what's sad about it is the fact that she was really getting better, her parents finally were able to get her and get some help for her after a long period of time where they couldn't. It's like she was let off the hook way too soon, and they should have been monitoring her for longer....now she's back to where she was and it's going to be another battle for her parents to be able to get her again.

Very puzzling thinking about how in the world her parents believe that she doesn't have a mental disorder, doesn't need to be in a conservatorship, and didn't need to continue taking medication. Now all the work they had done has been completely reversed.

This is really sad. She shouldn't have been taken off of her psych medications... my friend's mom is schizophrenic and this is how she acts when she doesn't get her medicine.
