I don't ever recall stanning for any particular artist and the only reason I visit this site is because y'all are messy and funny as hell. That and to discover some new bops. So I'm asking you hardcore stans to persuade me to become a fan of your faves. What makes your fave stand out from the rest ? I don't want generic answers either.

The only current popular artist that is actually worth stanning for is Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter.

But why should I stan for her? What is her best songs? Is she relatable as a person? Is she versatile?

Her is album is great and I was close to stanning for her but I heard she likes to pick fights with other celebs.

Her best songs are Single Ladies, Halo, Love On Top, Partition, Heaven and ***Flawless.
There are a lot of rumors about her stealing writing credits.
In my opinion, Beyoncé is not versatile at all. Her songs have the same vibe and style.

Why should you stan for Britney? One word: Blackout. An album that influenced music up till now, what we hear today.

Madonna? Pretty obvious.

Lana Del Rey? There is no one out there like her. She just doesn't write pretty songs, she connects artistry with her lyrics, it's like she has a video in mind with every song she writes.

Britney: it's Britney, bitch. She just has this xfactor that NO other act has for me. I know she's not as remarkable as she was and that her priority is her family now but I could seriously pay to see this woman just sit on stage.

Shakira: she's the epitome of intelligence. I always learn something from her I didn't in school while watching her interviews. She embodies and fulfills artistic and talent needs better than anyone else. She's what people should stan and over praise, unlike some.

1D: they're so much more than the teeny bubblegum boppers their singles make them out to be. You'd be surprised to find many gems in their discography that are actually not really aimed for prepubescent audiences. Zayn's and Liam's voices>>>>>>

Ariana Grande: I've stanned for her since before she was on Victorious. The girl can really sing and is a very good all around entertainer. She started on Broadway at 13. That's how good her voice is.

Little Mix: hands down one of the most talented acts at the moment. Extremely underrated outside the uk and deserve to blow up in the states ASAP. Perrie's voice alone >>>>

Beyoncé has the full package, she's a nice person (source: other people who have worked with her including Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj - not a random stan who claims they know her) she has GREAT albums, GREAT tours, put efforts into her work overall and stays out of the cliche drama

Kanye is also a genius and he's entertaining. He's also had a difficult life and yet he remains the KING of Hip Hop and is very influential and iconic. He produces and writes his own music, and almost everything is from HIS idea. If no artist has captured you themselves, their fans won't be able to do it for you.

But we can encourage you. And I would encourage you to get into Mariah Carey. She has so much to offer. Her voice is obviously amazing (goes without saying, no?). How she uses her voice as an instrument in amazing and after being a fan for more than half of my life, I always find myself just in awe at her talent. She has written every song in her discography [apart from the covers of course] and has co-produced every song since her second album. There's always so much to learn with Mariah. She's an interesting person and her music reflects that. She has a great personality too and what's great is that you've got like 20+ years worth of interviews and various stuff to watch/listen to which I love. She's also very relatable. And that can go for anybody. No matter who you are, whatever the situation, there will be a Mariah Carey song that you can relate to. And her music never stops giving. Mariah is a genius when it comes to song arrangement and vocal layering. Like I discovered new vocals in her 2008 song "I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time" and I was just like "wow". It happens all the time. You always notice new things and it keeps being a fan interesting. She's also tried a large amount of genres, so while R&B is what she is "dedicated" to, there'll be something in her discography that you will like even if you're not an R&B fan. There's disco in there, ballroom, bubblegum pop, dance etc.

She has a large discography so you may not want to listen to all of it, but if you do want a preview of her music, I suggest you listen to her compilation album "#1's" (1998) and maybe if you like what you hear, you can delve deeper into her discography.
