I'd say Nancy's is on par with Gaga's. Both incredibly well executed but distinctly different tones. Nancy's is
more of a numb recollection about a past lover, while Gaga's is more jarring and melodramatic.
I've listened to one live version and I didn't like very much because she made it sound too Broadway but I heard that the recorded version is pretty good.
What's wrong with Broadway?
And the recorded version is a recording taken from this live performance.

+1 except I prefer Gaga's vocals and stage presence
I like the Nancy version a bit better, because it's legendary and I've been hearing the same type of singing of this song for AGES (literally everyone is copying Nancy's version nowadays)
I am so grateful that we have Gaga. Here she comes and slays Bang Bang in a totally different way we've heard it before...
Edit: However my favourite version is the original by Cher.. I just love it. But I love all 3 anyway so..
Girl get. I don't like her, & a shame cuz her old songs were great but. That hair, that face, that outfit, that delivery.... Like whettt? No she shouldve did a Broadway album cuz that's what she's giving me instead of jazz, that's not even a jazz song to begin with. Like her voice is nice I must admit, but NOOO
It's a bonus track for the album anyways so go sit
Gaga, her vocals sound amazing on the track but the song is not a big vocal song where you show your pipes. The lyrics and mood the song is supposed to give off is far more haunting and somber. It's cute that she tried to do something different with it, but some times you don't need to fix the wheel.

trolling/jokes aside, I really don't like her cover of BB. I think she ruined it. it depends on if you like to hear someone screaming or if you prefer a more poetic/subtle approach like Nancy. (I prefer the latter obviously)

I guess the audience was here for the "screaming."

she is NOT screaming at all her voice is strong, but she controls it like a pro that she is
