This spring, Jessica told us that she'd stop promoting as the group for her personal reasons.
Although the news was sudden, SM ent. and SNSD members continuously talked thinking of the best way for everyone.

Recently due to prioritizing of SNSD activities and difference in interest clashing in with Jessica launching her fashion brand, we came to a point where maintaining the team was impossible.
We've decided that SNSD as 8 would be quicker than we thought it would and as we were discussing the timeframe to release the statement, Jessica posted it on her social media.
As from now on, we will manage and help with SNSD as 8 and Jessica her individual activities
