It's On Golden Pond - Henry's last movie and a fine example of extremely great acting with him deliviring a legit perfect performance and Queens Katharine Hepburn and Jane Fonda almost being there.

Pretty sure it's The Mill & The Cross?
I liked it for its visuals but it fell so flat in creating emotion and a gripping story.

Yup! and I agree with you, but luckily the visuals are fantastic enough to make up for that lack of a driven story.
