Discussion: Why is ATRL so hateful towards Bruno Mars?

I mean for real, they deny any kind of success achieved by him, they semi-stan for other male artists like Frank Ocean, Calvin Harris, Chris Brown, Sam smith and Justin Timberlake but when it comes to Bruno, most of them are like he's short, ugly and overrated. Why is that?

He is very down to earth, doesn't bother anyone, and stay focused on his music. Is it because he's the biggest male threat to their fave pop girls' success right now?

At least other male artists have some personal reasons to hate on them but not Bruno.

Because some of his stans on here are always trying to pit him up against pop girls. There's also this one Bruno stan on here who always bashes female artists and calls them ****s and *****s and then has the nerve to call us sexist because we don't like male artists. I like Bruno a lot but some of his fans are the pits.

I like him. But his stans are very uppity just because he's seeing success. They act as if he's the most talented musician ever. It's annoying. Reminds me of Taylor & Adele stans.

I agree there is an element of that

I think he's lucky to have little competition from other males but this is changing..

You're probably right about him being a threat to everyone's faes tbh. It could also have something to do with how overplayed he is on radio, which often leads to people getting sick of a song or person. See:Happy.

He's a very safe artist and the soccer moms are on board - I think Bruno has a good amount of appeal and he's a talented musician. Wish him no ill but I hate his music

Threads are being made everyday comparing two artists together but why everybody gets mad if one of the artists being mentioned is Bruno. The stats can be posted and his stats are real, it's not like we are coming up with fake receipts if we compare bruno and Rihanna's last eras, it happens all the time.

But compare him to other female artists whose songs have always been played for a decade now like Rihanna for example or even Katy, she's been on the radio since 2008. He's not the only one who is being played on the Radio.

I've seen more hate for Ed Sheeran, Chris Brown, Usher and Robin Thicke. I didn't realize Bruno was even talked about that much.

Also this obsession with him being male. It doesn't matter if he is male, that is not why ATRL hates him. All my faves besides Britney are all male bands and that has no bearing on my taste. People thinking he is a safe, boring, mom rock artist with radio payola fueled successful songs with no musical identity of his own has nothing to do with his gender.
