Yes girls often do have a good gaydar. sometimes my girlfriends tell someone is gay and I hate to agree with them because I feel like I'm agreeing with them stereotyping every gay male, but it's true they are often spot on.

I have a friend who can actually tell if someone is gay or not, and she doesn't even try. She doesn't judge from stereotypes either, she had an older brother who was "straight" and was dating a girl until he came out. He basically behaves like a typical straight guy. You would never tell.
She was able to pick up on a few things, and now she can basically pick out a gay from a mile away. She of course doesn't suspect everyone second person is gay, but she's able to tell by the way they talk to the same sex.
She reckons one of my friends is gay to this day, and he's been in a relationship with a girl for 4 years. But she's convinced. I've always said "nah, no way" but she finally tested it and she mentioned it to him as a kinda joke, and he responded in a very strange way and now I kinda believe her. He looked slightly panicked, and it was just weird. Not even the typical "laugh it off" or "defensive" reply either. I still have no idea though.
But she's also freakishly good at picking up when people are lying (even if they are convincing) and she's also able to easily tell when someone is actually joking, and when they are basically insulting her and covering it as a 'joke' when they mean it.

I believe some people just "know" and are able to read human characteristics, but the idea of the 'GayDar' as if it's simply a feminine male is Gay, is stupid.
No, no one can have gaydar. Gaydar is nothing but a set of stereotypes people look out for when it comes to determining who's gay and who's not. Those who claim to have gaydar are people who think a man's gay because, like, they wear pink.
Not really, they just rely on stereotype. If a girl see's a guy with muscles and tattoos and has a masculine face they would completely rule him out of being gay when in reality he could be the biggest power bottom in town.

Your friend would be good for criminal justice. But if we're really taking this 'gaydar' thing seriously, your friend probably approaches it the right way. She bases herself off of reactions rather than superficial behaviors.
