The updates during the night don't matter that much, the movements are much smaller.

Y'all are acting like radio didn't touch it. It's around top 15 on Pop. It says more than enough that it didn't make a dent on Katy's other format(s). It's simply not good enough to be a single.

Yes. They foresee "worldbeat" taking over pop and rhythmic radio. It'll fit in splendidly between "Don't Tell 'Em," "L.A. Love," "Baby Don't Lie," and Taylor's next dance/pop single.

I'll root for it, but for the trillionth time, as is, the struggle could be just as real as it was here. It could be a "Dark Horse," but it's not in its current incarnation.

Compared to all her previous singles it is her biggest radio snub by far. The AI is very low so all the spins are on smaller stations and/or overnight. Based on its sales and Spotify performance it deserves to be played a lot more. They just don't want to risk it after the previous stinkers this era.

"This Is How We Do" is a recycled Backstreet Boys chord progression from the 90's, only brought back for Britney's "Criminal" in 2011 (another flop), and then given to Katy with some Pac-Mac-like pizzazz, but devoid of the requisite sugar-sweet melody that made that sound work in the first place.

It's also part of the "throwback" set on tour because it's anything but current, and that's why it's novelty. Why "Walking" may work is because that early 90's sound is happening again right now. Where do you think "Problem" came from? That saxophone riff is straight from Snap!'s 90's jock jam "I've Got The Power."

I also see Animals by Maroon 5 as a song with huge momentum with a similar sound.
The thing is both WoA and LL have sounds that are gaining traction right now but I still think LL is the better song overall

LL needs to be the next single and it MUST be remixed or it is gonna flop hard and that's the truth. As you said, people are looking for new material.

and they should keep it this way so it has a climax like DH.
If they do that LL will smash for the next 6 months.
They will finish with this era and everyone will be pleased, without worrying about having another single or crying over the last one because it flopped.

They should follow this recipe;
A good intro,
a vivid chorus
a refreshing verse
vivid chorus again
a musically and harmonically good bridge where the song hits its climax
and the final chorus slowly fading.

Basically and WOA got performed many times and the GP just wasn't feeling it, LL NEEDS to be the next single.
