which is what the person you quoted was referring to, those factors can largely be ignored in favor of gender dynamics.
That poster may have worded their post a bit off, but if you seriously are choosing to think they meant that abuse is ever justified, you are choosing to be obtuse when reading it. What they said is not complicated, nor is it far from the truth.
Men often beat their wives because they think that AS A MAN, they are correct in doing so and have a right to do it, because their woman's place is to be subservient and listen.
In the rare case that a woman is beating her husband, it is not because she thinks that she has the right to do so because as a man he should be subservient to her, because THAT IS NOT HOW OUR SOCIETY CONDITIONS PEOPLE TO THINK.
