Actually very true. A lot of people online have been dragging her for her ignorant opinion on feminism and Bey's feminism for days now.

ATRL is late as per usual. Emma's views on feminism only applies to white women. It's very biased and messy. She's literally breaking no ground but it's cute she tried and got people talking about the issue again.

The whole thing about issues like feminism is that they transcend different races and cultures so you can't pigeonhole these things to where it only benefits people of your standards and style and nobody else.

i'm sure emma supports latina women and trans women and whoever else, but she doesn't have to mention them in every speech she makes. this is just whining and oppression olympics, where people complain that how dare you stand up for someone when there are other people having problems. this is just the "children in africa" argument all over again.

i'll make it clear: just because there are other people with worse problems doesn't mean people can't stand up for the people who still face issues. i'm sure there's someone in the world with more privilege than everyone you stand up for too, but that doesn't mean that they don't need to be helped.

finally, it's really annoying when people go on about how underprivileged nonbinary people apparently are. they hardly face anything at all. it's like when people complain about "asexual oppression". just stop.

Why do you people always have to get so defensive when the topic of race comes up? Maybe if you would listen and be involved in the discussion, instead of instinctively dismissing it and tuning people out, it wouldn't be an issue.

Well Emma isn't representative of all feminist. She fits a very tailored mold of what people want feminist to only be. There's a reason why they chose her instead of a Beyonce or a Madonna who have obviously advocating feminism since she was in diapers. Emma wouldn't know about the single black woman with 3 kids that can't get a decent paying job because they look at her skin color and children with no husband as opposed to her work ethic. But, hey that doesn't matter to people.

Now there's how many articles and threads pointing out the flaws with this speech?

Maybe they can find a more representative woman to address the United Nations. Does anyone know of a poor but educated black/latina trans woman, who's moderately famous and that the mass public would care to hear about?

Stop saying that white people don't know this or that. Percentage wise, there are more poor white people than poor black people in their respective races. Every person, regardless of sex, identity, wealth or color gets crapped on for whatever reason.

I'm talking about the feminism that disregards the fact that whiteness is a privilege that is not afforded to all women.
