Speaking of Black fans at her listening session. I can only speak for myself as a Biracial living in NYC. There was no country music radio in NYC until 2013. I know of Taylor Swift because of "Love Story" and became a fan because of "Red". I'm a fan of Garth Brooks, Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain but they were popular.. Taylor for the most part was in a music genre that only welcomed two Black musicians . Charlie Pride and the guy from Hootie.and the Blow fish.
NEW YORK (AP) — Even though a cowboy hat sighting on Fifth Avenue is still pretty rare, country music has made an important move into New York City.
Country has its own radio station in the nation's largest market for the first time in 17 years. WNSH-FM, which calls itself "NASH 94.7," began broadcasting in January and its operators say it has established itself more quickly than expected during its first few months on the air.
Singer Miranda Lambert attended the station's first sponsored concert with husband Blake Shelton and both were surprised to see a packed house of people singing along to their songs.
"How do they hear it if they don't have radio in New York?" she asked. "It's funny to me because I've learned this on the road. There's rednecks everywhere. For every town and every city, you've just all got to find each other and you'll be happier."
The New York station is "going to be like Taylor Swift of the radio stations. It's going to blow up," she said.

You think she can magically pull a young Black demographic. I believe "1989 "will bring a more diverse fan base. Just for the fact I heard "SIO" playing at two different diners in the Bronx.
Btw, her video did have two black female fans.
