It's truly amazing how she was a legit fashion taste-maker over the course of two decades - in the '80s, with her own street fashion, and in the '90s by bringing all those great designers to mainstream attention. I don't think there are many people who can lay claim to that, certainly not people technically outside the fashion business. Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Tom Ford, Louboutin (there's a great interview on the set of the "Take a Bow" video with Kurt Loder where she's still not sure how to pronounce his name)... not to mention the photographers, like Herb Ritts, Steven Meisel and Mario Testino.

That picture of Gwen made me do a double take. The make-up, hair and pose are Madonna-esque, to say the least. Not to mention the actual physical resemblance.
Anyway, "Nothing Fails" is the greatest song of all time today, so there's that.
