Yeah, honestly though, the ones that come here are very familiar with the whole shtick. They just do it to get on the fans nerves. I'm just saying that bad reviews will come and there's not much we can do about that unfortunately. But I think to expect the fans to be content with a bad review is kind of asking a bit much.

That LA times review was just horrible.

Another critic acting like this is just Gaga's latest attempt to seem more credible or artistic because of Artpop's sales despite the fact that this has been in the works for years! It's obvious that she did this because she likes Jazz and admires Tony, she didn't do it to exploit anyone.

The "run out of idea's" comment It's a damn cover album! It doesn't say anything about how many ideas she does or doesn't have!

The fact that the guy admits that they are both very skilled and pull it off well technically, but he gives them 1 out of 4 because of a "lack of chemistry" (which seems like a bs excuse) and because he thinks Gaga exploiting Jazz for some ridiculous reason.

I'm pretty sure this guy just completely ignored the album and based his whole review on his opinion of Gaga, that is what it reads like to me. Ah well, who cares about critics anyway?

Exactly! My biggest problem with these reviews is that they completely disregard that this album has been planned since late 2011 - early 2012. This is way before ARTPOP was even fully finished. And it's not like they can't look this information up on Google, because they can easily go on Google to find that she was a flop or that she had a raunchy performance at SXSW and include that in a review that's totally unrelated to the subject at hand

You would think they would look it up before hand, I guess they just don't care about representing people fairly.

As others have said, I don't care if people dislike the album. At least Slant Magazine dedicated some of their review to the actual album. This guy makes a couple of comments that could be considered real criticism (I guess) and then the rest of the review is just a mostly unrelated rant about Gaga.

Gaga will never win. Just enjoy the music for what it is, I guess.

I don't really see how a critic could score jazz standards that low. The song writing is already there and the instrumentation is on point.

The album would seriously have to turn into industrial noise or be belched out instead of sung for me to give standards a score that far below failing, but that's just me I guess.

I'm done with these reviewers. Review the MUSIC, not Gaga and whatever state of her career she is in. She is only 50% of the album! Review the God damn music!!
