My top 10 albums of the year follow. #1 might be moderately surprising.

First, here is #15-#11 on the year-end chart.

15. The Offspring- "Hammerhead" (RETIRED)
The Offspring returned this year and are just as rocking as ever. Well maybe not quite, but close. There are quite a few awesome tracks on the album.

14 Kings of Leon- "Sex On Fire"
I wasn't the hugest fan of Kings of Leon till this year, but this new album is awesome (see below ). This is not even the best song on the album (or even on this chart for that matter)...

13. Paramore- "Let The Flames Begin" (RETIRED) (Last year #2)
The only song on both my 2007 and 2008 year end charts. That is because the song started its run in 2007 and ended in 2008. And what a run it was!!! It spent all 10 weeks on the chart at #1.

12. The Mars Volta- "Wax Simulacra"
Awesome song, awesome album, awesome band. Enough said.

11. Scars on Broadway- "They Say"
"They say" this song is great. I agree.

The five songs = awesomecore.

the top 9 is awesome. i checked "Bedlam in Goliath" and it's very good. so, the only album i really don't like in your list is "All Hope is Gone"

All 5 of those songs are awesome indeed.

Great 10, I mean 13 albums as well.

I changed the schedule up a bit and shortened it to 8 updates instead of nine which means this is the second to last one then I'm done.

10. In Flames- "Alias"
Everyone need some melodic death metal in their life, don't they?

9. Ashes Divide- "The Stone" (RETIRED)
3rd song on the chart from Ashes Divide. The whole album is great.

8. Disturbed- "Inside The Fire" (RETIRED)
Not even the highest charting Disturbed song. That one is yet to come...

7. AC/DC- "Rock and Roll Train"
AC/DC returned and are almost as good as ever with their new CD "Black Ice". The truth is if you like one AC/DC song, you like them all. Goes the same way if you don't like a song from them.

6. Radiohead- "Bodysnatchers" (RETIRED)
A truly rocking tune from one of the best groups still around. The album is good but it didn't quite make it on my top 10 (or really 13).

9. Lupe Fiasco- "Superstar"
8. Secondhand Serenade- "Fall For You"
7. Jay-Z ft./ Santogold- "Brooklyn Go Hard" (this one is fairly new)

The top 5 of both lists will be revealed next time. #1 won't come as too much of a shock on my rock chart, but my mainstream #1 will shock nearly everyone (no #1 is not Britney, however she is close...) I'll stop giving details now..
