If there's been one repeating thing that i've noticed in your year-end and a lot of other peoples is that I really need to check out the MGMT album. Not sure why I haven't yet.
The rest of the list is pure badass. MMJ, GNR, Vampire Weekend, can't lose.
Any TV, MMJ and Metallica stuff rules, of course, as does "42", and a ton of the other stuff. "Shackler's Revenge" is really cool, but I hate playing it on RB2.
Thanks for the comments folks. Getting closer to the top now. Which of the artists with a million songs on here will take #1?
25. The End Of The Line - Metallica Death Magnetic
-This is another example of a quiet tone leading into a radioactive solo. The problem with the solo is that it should never be listened to in public. I guess some people find it weird when someone starts banging their head and playing air guitar out of nowhere.
24. Dancing Choose - TV On The Radio Dear Science
-He's a what? He's a what? He's a newspaper man. I wonder if TV On The Radio has got the news: they are awesome. A lot of critics are picking Dear Science as album of the year.
23. That Was Just Your Life - Metallica Death Magnetic
-The kickoff to Death Magnetic is napalm burning through the Vietnamese jungles. It's ON FIRE. First time I heard it I had to go to the ear burn ward.
22. Better - Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy
-Is this the next single? If it is it's a great choice. I can see people pumping their radio volume and screaming along with the lyrics in the car. No one ever told me when I was alone, they just though I knew better.
21. Crawl - Kings of Leon Only By The Night
-With two Metallica songs not too far back, it may come as a surprise that Kings of Leon produced the biggest headbanger of the set. I'm still not too familiar with anything besides the first three songs of their latest album, but that might change soon.
20. Touch Me I'm Going To Scream, Pt 2 - My Morning Jacket Evil Urges
-MMJ's take on the word epic.
19. Amazing - Kanye West ft. Young Jeezy 808s and Heartbreak
-My second favorite track on 808s and Heartbreak. Yeezy and Jeezy work so well together, I'd enjoy hearing an entire record full of just them. Kanye could play guitar, Jeezy the xylophone, and Braylon Edwards could play drums (but only if the sticks are taped to his hands).
18. Iodine - Sons & Daughters This Gift
-Final appearance from S&D.
17. Spaceman - The Killers Day & Age
-The songmaker says it aint so bad. Well actually it's rather amazing. Who doesn't like this song? Tell me now. Not gonna? Maybe I can convince you .. with my fists.
16. A-Milli - Lil Wayne Tha Carter 3
-A milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli A milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli. Motha****a I'm ill. A million here a million here, sicillian bitch with long hair...
15. A milli a milli a milli a milli a milli a milli
This set is pretty ridiculous in its awesomeness. Not even a single OK song, they are all A+.
also, i'm currently on the phone with L.A. Reid to get the Yeezy/Jeezy album to happen. In all seriousness, if that album happens I will camp out days before it comes out (which I realize in this day of age of albums leaking is insanely silly, but I still will!).
