Valerie Wilson, director of the Program on Race, Ethnicity, and the Economy at the Economic Policy Institute (EPI), a Washington, D.C.-based think tank, said that from 2012 to 2013, the Black-White income gap narrowed from 58.4 cents to 59.4 cents for every dollar of White median household income.

Despite the improvements, the median income for Black households was only $34,598, a little more than half the median income earned by White households ($58,270).

Sexism is persistent across all racial groups. Calling the black community disgusting for not having a magical solution is a biT problematic, especially when as a racial group they are perpetually disadvantaged in the workforce. LIke what are black men supposed to do, quit their jobs so black women can get them instead? Educate me. How are blacks LETTING sexism happen in comparison to whites, hispanics, asians?

the fact that our black community goes through racism and wage discrimination with white folks daily make it more of a fight to combat sexism in the black community. How can you guys let this pass by?

the black community isn't letting anything happen... The pay disparity occurs in any race
