Modern Family star Sarah Hyland got a temporary restraining order against ex-boyfriend Matt Prokop, reports TMZ. During the last four years of their relationship he beat her. Once he pinned her against a car during an argument calling her ‘c**t, c**t, c**t’ and choking her.
Sarah said: ‘His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life. She had a very sore throat following this event.’ After she broke up with him & she claims he ‘relentlessly bombarded me with vile, threatening and emotionally disturbing texts and voice mails including his own suicide threats.’

A court granted Hyland’s request for a restraining order. Prokop must stay 100 yards away from her and her dog, TMZ said.

Calls to Hyland and Prokop and their reps weren't immediately returned.

Hyland's lawyer said the restraining order request was granted Sept. 19.
