Like I said, her "status" and "success" is hyped and overrated by the media, but EVERY SINGLE TIME some ACTUAL numbers and receipts come out they state otherwise.
To quote Jay-Z himself: "Men lie, women lie, (media lies), but numbers DO NOT LIE."
and Hive knows this already, otherwise they wouldn't be so rilled up over this underperformance.

People always like to throw out the "Beyoncé and Jay Z are a power couple" antidote, but that's far from the truth. The general public will never like Jay Z. He's not attractive (a common requirement for the general public), and frankly, he's not all that talented anymore, which critics can attest to ("Magna Carta Holy Grail," anyone?). He had his time in the late 90's/early 00's, but he's not a draw, in any sense of the word. Furthermore, he doesn't elevate Beyoncé's status or image. I have HBO, and I decided not to watch the "On The Run" special "live," simply because I couldn't fast forward through Jay Z's performances. Like the majority of America (and world), I have no interest in Jay Z, and do not wish to hear or see him. He doesn't attract audiences, he detracts them. If Beyoncé's special was solo, the ratings would have been higher, not that much higher, mind you, but still. Beyoncé needs to stop working with Jay Z on a professional level; all he does is damage her brand.

She's had much rating success with other concert series on major networks, this definitely wasn't her ratings "peak"

They are a power couple though, they are huge earners and together are worth over 1 billion dollars.
Poor ratings for a concert highly denounces that, especially when the tour was sold out which is where it counts

They are not a power couple. The tour did well because of Beyoncé Knowles, not Corey Carter. Conversely, the "On The Run" ratings did poorly because of Jay Z, not Beyoncé. Power couples elevate each other and revolve around one another like a co-orbital configuration. Angelina Jolie elevates Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt elevates Angelina Jolie. Beyoncé elevates Jay Z. Jay Z does not elevate Beyoncé.

This is the TV special for their sold out, record breaking, stadium tour and we are calling them a flop.

It's understandable that they are clinging on to these ratings, just like they were clinging to the VMAs ratings. They must do it for their sanity.

Just let them wallow in their delusion, next thing you know they'll claim that the hive is the only delusional base on atrl, and every one, including some Hive will run along with it.

Truthfully, the ratings are kinda low, lower than I expected.
It would be great if they were higher but they don't determine their star power, tbh, too many variables with the ratings. I really think that Jay Z and Beyonce have a quite different base of fans, I really planned to fast forward through Jay's parts because I really wasn't interested in watching him until I realized I really enjoyed him live. Many of my friends didn't watch because of him either just as I'm sure some of his fans didn't watch because they can't stand Bey.
Nonetheless, tour was sold out and sold over 100 million dollars with less than 20 dates, it was very successful. I'm sure they've earned a huge amount of money from the show and it definitely didn't hurt their star power.

Why are some of the other stanbases in here trying it when their own faves have zero acclaim outside of the VMAs and can't even get their own HBO special?

To be honest even for Beyoncé alone these are terrible numbers, I think this couple thing is just downgrading her image, maybe not her bank account, but people are getting tired of seeing them together.

Dude that acclaim thing is getting tiring, tbh this is a rating discussion thread and you bring that irrelevant fact. As a Beyoncé fan I can tell you the GP see's her on the same level than other artists the critics are for a small targeted group.

The point is that the general public have never liked seeing Beyoncé with Jay Z.
That was never a thing. And it never will be a thing, as these ratings clearly show.

They are low for Bey and you could be right, I mean LIBAD set a ratings record on the same channel for a docu of it's kind but the tour did sell out and people seemingly like their collabs? Who knows, to be honest
