I was going to do my top 10 worst mainstream songs of the year but I decided against it as it is too predictable. Therefore I'm going to try a different list which you will see below the next 5 on my chart.
20. Ashes Divide- "Enemies"
Ashes Divide makes me realize how much I miss the band A Perfect Circle. However, this band is quite a good substitute. 3 songs in my top 64. I haven't done the math but I believe that is the most of any band this year.
19. Back Door Slam- "Come Home"
I love the classic Jimi Hendrix sound of this song. The guitar player is actually younger than me (he is 20) and he plays the guitar better than most seasoned professionals. Nothing will ever replace Jimi Hendrix but this is a quality substitute.
18. Coldplay- "Viva La Vida"
Is there anything left to say about this song? I think not. We all know how popular it is and no one needs me to explain how awesome it is since everyone knows it.
17. The Offspring- "You're Gonna Go Far Kid"
It didn't really spend as long as it should have on my countdown. It may be the single catchiest song on my chart (or at least very close to the top). The Offspring still have 1 song left to chart? Where will it land?
16. In This Moment- "Forever" (RETIRED)
Ryan's favorite band (just don't tell him that

). There is something about this band that makes me like them. I can't really explain it. I think I just like to hear the singer scream.
Top 10 songs of the year that you have likely never heard(and when I mean never heard of, I mean NO ONE ever heard):
The songs are in no particular order. In reality, they are just a selection of indie tracks that only I listen to. These are not even popular indie tracks (well a couple are. you will see...).
Endoxi- "I'm Bi-Polar"
Headway- "Safety"
Stillwater- "In My Eyes"
ExNN- "In Your Eyes" (not exactly new but it was appropriate after "In My Eyes")
British Sea Power- "Waving Flags"
Ra Ra Riot- "Dying is Fine" (There is a off chance that you know this one)
Santogold- "Starstruck" (you probably know this)
The Dodos- "Jodi"
Of Montreal- "Id Engager"
Cassandra Castaway- "Clytemnestra"
That is the once a year list that you will ever see me list tracks like that despite the fact that I always listen to indie rock.
Next update will be the next 5 tracks and my top 10 albums of the year (which you will all know unlike the the list above).
