Tbh I don't really feel that way for my country tho. I don't see people going around linking Ed and Taylor together that much here. Plus, Lego House and The A Team were huge hits here.
Ed already had sold millions before the tour with Taylor so had big hype anyway though not that we should be comparing who's support act is more successful
Sorry, but not many people heard of Ed in the US. Prior to touring with Taylor he had sold
500k+ albums in the US ( + is almost platinum now). He certainly wasn't a household name and he wasn't going to sell-out MSG before the "Red" tour.

I remember the first song I heard from him is Lego House. The was a video a few seconds long of Lord singing Lego House with him. That was probably the first time I've heard about him. If not then it must be articles that mention him working with the Lord.
