To be honest i didnt want it to be added to Spotify. When she was able to get ahead of Meghan with it being such a smash, i realized that she indeed did have a point
AATB still manage to sell AND top the Spotify chart simultaneously
So why can't SIO do that?
I'd rather have promo songs tbh. They were one of the most exciting periods of the album cycle, waiting for each week to arrive just to hear a brand new song. It really builds hype for the album too.

Y'all were so right. Being added to streaming has really helped the Lord. Why She hasn't hired y'all for Her management team is just astonishing.

Wouldn't it have been a more suitable time to point that out when she first made Red available on Spotify in July 2013? If making her songs available on Spotify could be seen as hypocritical, then why weren't you shading her back then? It's not like SIO is the first Taylor Swift song to be made available on streaming surfaces.
I think they know that pulling out a full-pop album will definitely deter some people from buying the album, so they wanna secure as many sales as possible, at the extent of instant grats.
