I remember like it was yesterday. The album went on sale on a Monday. Some retailers got the album that Friday, got happy, and started selling it unofficially. The label didn't stop all of them, so unfortunately they had to debut at freaking #19 with 61k.
The thing that pisses me off most about Britney is that she did it before digital sales really frontloaded first weeks. She should still be easily selling 500k first week but she won't get off her bum.
The fact that she did it when no else was doing it makes it THAT much more impressive!
Plus NO one has yet to top her GREADBREAKING ICONIC RECORD 1,319,000 ... NOT to mention she sold 500K in ONE day!!!!!!
It's always so interesting when people decide to split Beyoncé/DC receipts and when to combine them.
For example, I see many talking about how she's been out for 17 years but refusing to combine the receipts from those 17 years (i.e. something like "17 years and only 5 #1s"). Foolish.
Beyoncé has done this three times in her career. Deal.
