And I honestly think this time we can't blame that much his label for Bailando not going top 10 on the Hot 100.
They sabotaged lots of his singles with very bad decisions, but this time they did all they did everything possible to make it successful.
Bailando was very unfortunate. When it was taking off and had the chance to reach the top 10 it was blocked by other songs that received a boost thanks to their music videos releases. Then it was blocked because of the boost some songs had thaks to VMA.
What should have Republic done? Forbid people from watching videos from other artists?
I actually thank Republic because they believed in the song and supported the release of this single WW. It was a brave choice. Spanish songs usually do nothing in the US, but Bailando reached Platinum and had a peak at #12 on the Hot 100.
After all the flop and underperformance of all the singles after Tonight, nobody even dreamed about this doing that well. I thought it could be a hit in some European countries and in Latin countries but this song was really global (with only few exeptions).

The VMAs didn't have much effect this year.
Bailando did awesome because it's a great song. The previous singles from Sex and Love, not so much
All I'm saying is when they saw Bailando made it to #12. They should've done something. Because I bet they were relying on the song to reach top 10 it's own
I can't deny how AMAZING Bailando did and yeah after the many flops he had, even me I wasn't expecting it. So I applaud that
