20 years in the business compared to barely 5 is totally comparable.
And you honestly think for one second that Madge EVER put her 'artistry' above her commercial success. Sure she tried different things here and there (and let's not even get into her film career), but she always maintained a business sense about her work and barely ever pushed the GP to the point of no return. And even if she did, at least they stayed interested.
The GP just don't care about Gags anymore, no matter how many wigs, dresses or genres she tries on.
