Did Slant even review the music or no? I feel like most of the reviews for this album will just be projections of Gagas existence in popular culture, they did the same thing to ARTPOP. I mean it deserved its mixed reviews, but I felt the majority of the critiques didn't give it mixed reviews for entirely the right reasons or at least they didnt articulate it well. Most of the reviews were equatable to hipster snobbery. They next to ignored reviewing the music in the context of pop and spent their paragraphs dissecting her popularity instead. Its like most of the reviews were "shes over now so whats the point".

Also, don't share it on social media or talk about it. Use AdBlock when visiting the reviewing page. Comment negatively about the review doubting the objectivity of the critic, upvote all comments by Monsters in the comment section
Get to work. We might be able to make the critic get backlash, instead of the album. takes about 5 minutes to do this all.

They said that Gaga's voice was off and that Tony lacked.

Another BAD review.
Doesn't count for metacritic. kii
What’s most disappointing about the album is how tame it sounds as Gaga, 28, reverts to her undistinguished cabaret days, while Bennett, 88, simply coasts in easy-listening mode. Rather than highlight each other’s wildly distinguishing features, they merely settle on a quiet night at the local jazz club, where the background music is far more exciting than the people singing over it.

I disagree with reporting a writer for his/her opinion but this one...She really should be reported though. Her writing is truly the worst. Look how she writes on pop artists
Here's her Chris Brown one that equally just drags for the sake of it. Music is barely mentioned here.
On Shakira

Shakira is, per usual, almost impossible to understand, singing something about robbing and killing to keep her man, but RiRi's typically shrill voice is at its most palatable amid the island vibe this kind of song provides.

On Avril
I don't even want to quote it because of an unforgivable word she used in the first sentence.
Obviously she just does some of this for the page views, but still. Awful writer.

Shame that the Slant reviewer couldn't comment on the music and instead passed judgement on her business move.

No but it says the background music is better than the singing.

aren't album reviews supposed to be talking about the music, each song, the lyris, the production etc? i bet the reviewer from Slant didn't even listen to the album..

I saw her use the 'r' word for Avril which is frankly disgusting and, well, 'r' word itself. She's clearly unprofessional. It's a shame someone credible from Slant like legend Sal couldn't have reviewed it. Alas, it's just one review

Well I actually agree with her that Gaga sounds too shouty on Anything Goes, and can see where she's coming from with ICGYABL. But she sounds great on Nature Boy, and what we heard of Lush Life from HSN sounded pretty stunning. Guess I'll have to hear it all.
Shame Sal didn't review it though; I would've felt assured that it was a fair review then. Oh well.
