Do you think texting while waling should be illegal? Just like texting while driving, texting while walking can cause fatal accidents. Often when people are crossing the street, they don't look to see if cars are coming and are mostly on their phones and walk without looking. In my city a girl was hit by a semi truck while crossing the street because she did not look up.
And that example you posted about the girl getting hit by a semi doesn't seem indicative of an ongoing persistent problem, it just seems like a prime example of stupidity.
No but texting or calling while in the passenger seat should. It would allow the driver to text or call or play games etc while the passenger pays attention to the road.
