It's because Apple is partners with Beats Music app (The wannabe version of a Spotify), so they released it on there, but obviously not giving it to Spotify since they are the competitors.
I downloaded it. I'm not going to scoff at free music no matter who it's by. I used to download the weekly free song years ago. Got some tracks I ended up liking like "show me what I'm looking for" by Carolina Liar before it became a hit and a song by Melissa etheridge

Their previous bops that I own convinced me to buy their last album when it came out. I bought the physical of "no line on the horizon" and was completely disappointed. I hope this freebie is better.
