Congratulations to Serena for winning number 18. I would feel really bad for her if she lost to Wozniacki in the US Open final, especially since she's faced the likes of Safina, Zvonereva, Radwanska, and Sharapova in grand slam finals! It would be a shame if she lost at the finish line, after beating Lepchenko, Kanepi, Makarova in the Round of 16, QFs, and SFs, compared to Wozniacki's Sharapova, Errani, and Peng on the opposite side! I'm glad she was able to have this much longevity, especially since 2009 when Jankovic, Ivanovic, Safina, Zvonereva, and the like dominated tennis! It would be a shame if Serena didn't beat them!

I'm glad Vika can focus on her game so she can add to her 2 grand slams. Maybe Ana can strip her "one slam wonder" title next year! It would be great for the game to see Ana win another grand slam title 7 years later.

All I can say is that it was a pleasant 30 days. Glad that slam season is over so we can all pay even less attention to the trolls than we used to.
