Yes, on many job applications it actually says. "We believe in equality, that is why preference will be given to minority by race, homosexuals, disabled, or aboriginal person(s) during the decision making process.
They try to be equal but it doesn't make sense. Most people living here are still white, so if preference is given to a smaller group of minorities, then it will be so much easier for them to find a job because there are less of them and they are preferred. There are more white people but since companies want 'equality' they hire more people that are minorities. So it's harder for the larger amount of white people to find jobs.
Instead, it should be "We will give preference to whoever is most qualified for the job." Race shouldn't matter, if you are the best fit for the job.
I know it used to be harder for minorities to find a job, but that doesn't mean it has to be the other way around now
