Is there a preferred reading of the Say It Right lyrics? I eventually came to interpret it as Nelly lookin for a rando in the club to take home and **** cuz she uses sex to fill some sort of emotional void, but idk if that is way off the general consensus.
I sometimes look at it as her partner having cheated on her or betrayed her in some way ("when there's no time for joking... there's a flaw in the plan"), ruining what they had, and her giving him a second chance because she knows that despite what he did he still "has what it takes to set her free" and he can mean something to her again. But if I'm feeling ****tier I interpret it as what you said but with her actually looking for love and something to FILL that void.
5 year old me STANNED for the Spice Girls. I had their movie, their album, the dolls, everything. We had pijama parties watching the movie, all boys. It was a universal thing in the UK at the time.
Both Gwen and Fergie will flop with their new material.
Radio won't touch any of their songs.
I expect 250-300k sales at MOST. I don't expect much from Fergie's album quality wise... Gwen is a whole different story, her album could be amazing but no one is going to buy it. They had their time.
