People are not stuck in the 90s like you seem to be. They did not give a **** about No Doubt's come back while the BEP's was one of the biggest eras of the millenium.
No one besides ATRL cared about Gwen in 7 years.
Fergie always remained the successful and interesting one in the GP's eyes. And I think she is a "huge star" when she is the only one in the band that was able to have an era like The Dutchess (aka an era 50 times more successful than any will.i.am album)
btw, the BEP sold more albums, more singles, are more global and remembered, have more Grammys than ND but ok.
